BILL BEWLEY DIES SUNDAY

Funeral services for William E. "Bill" Bewley, 64, will be held at 1pm Tuesday in the Mallett Chapel with Pastor Wayne Naugher officiating. Mr. Bewley died Sunday, February 2, 1969, in the Wagoner Community Hospital.

Born August 12, 1904 in Penrod, Kentucky, Mr. Bewley moved from Tulsa to Wagoner, Oklahoma in 1957, where he owned and operated the Cherokee Motel south of Wagoner on Highway 69.

Mr. Bewley was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Elks Lodge No. 517 of Muskogee, Oklahoma and of the Painters Local Union No. 1895. He was a former member of the Wagoner Rotary Club.

Mr. Bewley was the son of Dr. Eugene Meade Bewley, former physician in Kentucky and court bailiff in Tulsa, and the grandson of the late Dr. Addison D. James, physician, state senator and U.S. representitive of Kentucky.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Merle Bewley of the home; two brothers, John Kennerly Bewley and James Penrod Bewley, both of Tulsa; three sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Nance of Tulsa, Mrs. Nellie L. Boulogne of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Mrs. Hallie D. Spence of Worland, Wyoming.

Entombment will be in the Floral Haven Mausoleum near Broken Arrow under the direction of Mallett's Green Funeral Home in Wagoner.
