He married Virginia C. (Morgan) Candy on April, 8 1959 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. John worked as a construction worker.
He is survived by his wife: Virginia of the home; 4 children: John Candy, Jr. and wife Teresa, Clint Candy, Randy Candy and wife Lisa, James Candy; grandchildren: Jennifer Candy and boyfriend, Clay Gilbert, Jeremy W. Candy, Jordan C. Candy, Michael McKelvey, Kimberley McKelvey, LeAnn McKelvey; sister: Rachael; brothers: Lloyd and Floyd; and numerous other family members.
John was preceded in death by his parents: Louis and Susie Candy; siblings: George Candy, Deertrack Candy, Dean Candy, James Candy, Wanda Candy.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, 10:00 AM in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with interment to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
