Dorothy was the oldest of nine children born to Lemuel Ervin Sr. and Bessie L. (Morris) McClamrock. She married John Erwin Bolton and they were the parents of three children: Wiley Roger, Doris Jody and Jackie Robert.

Dorothy "Dot" McClamrock Bolton, 85, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at Carolina Commons Health Care.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with the Rev. Tim Grant officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bolton was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel and Bessie McClamrock, husband John Ervin Bolton and sisters, Sis Honeycutt, Lois Bolton, Dinkey Swaney, Audrey McClamrock and Ossie Kelley.
She is survived by her daughter, Jody Yancey and husband Earl of Greensboro; sons, Jack Bolton and wife Ann of Greensboro and Roger Bolton and wife Aritha of Florida; sisters, Ponsey Reitzel, Jean Bass, both of Greensboro; brother Sunny McClamrock of Florida; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
