Abela, Dorothy nee Semega. Age 84, of Lincoln Park. She died peacefully at home with her daughters on May 14, 2013. Born February 2, 1929 in Windber, Pennsylvania and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Abela. Loving mother of Sandy (Dan) Artman and Sherry Abela. Devoted grandmother of Kaycee Artman. Dearest sister of Robert (the late Jean) Semega and Ronald (Sally) Semega. She is also survived by her in-laws Robert Abela (Linda McIntosh), Maria (the late Richard) Abela, Shirley (Larry) Sikora, Rose (Roy) Caballero, and Audrey (Chris) Chambers. She had great love for her many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dorothy enjoyed reading, dancing, gardening, traveling and being her granddaughter's #1 fan. She was an active member of the Women of Good Shepherd and volunteered in many ways at the parish. Dorothy considered the friends she made at the church to be part of her extended family.
