Bonnie F. Adkins, age 76, of Exeter Twp., passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Monroe Mercy Memorial Hospital.
Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock, on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11:00 am. Pastor Keith Schuster of Gospel Baptist Church, Willow, MI will officiate the service. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Huron Township, Michigan.
Born on March 2, 1938 in Totz, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ben and Matilda (Dove) Disney. On June 2, 1962 she married Girard Adkins in Trenton, MI .
Bonnie was a member of Gospel Baptist Church, Willow, Michigan and a former member of First Baptist Church of Flat Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
Surviving are Son, James Douglas Adkins of Carleton, 2 daughters, Carolyn (Tim) Wright of New Boston and Denise Adkins of New Boston, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Sam Disney of Romulus, Roger (Mary) Disney of Taylor and David (Linda) Disney of Belleville; brother-in-law, Johnny Johnson of Dearborn Heights.
