Topeka State Journal Wednesday 22 March, 1972, pg. 8:

CENTRALIA - J. Clyde Lovitt, 92, Centralia, died Tuesday in a Seneca nursing home where he had been since Dec. 8, 1971.

He was born April 13, 1879 at Lenox, Iowa and lived in the Centralia community 48 years. He was a member of the Congregational Church at Centralia. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jean Steckel, Centralia; a son, Charles H. Lovitt, Colby; 4 sisters, Mrs. Flo Grimm, Sharpsburg, Iowa, Mrs. John Drain, Lenox, Iowa, Mrs. hazel Neeley, Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Alta Chamberlin, San Jose, Calif.' a brother, Ernest Lovitt, Portland, ore; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at Hayes Funeral Home at Centralia with burial in Centralia Cemetery.
