IONE T. CLEMMONS
PORTAGE - Ione T. Clemmons, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at Divine Savior Extended Care in Portage.
Ione was born on April 3, 1907 in Pardeeville, Wisconsin the daughter of David and Emma (Zerbel) Eagen. She was united in marriage to Theodore Clemmons on August 22, 1925 in Rockford, Illinois. Ione was a member of the Portage United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Railroad Women's Club and Mayflower Lodge.
Survivors include her daughter, Rosemary (Pat) Borchers, Madison; a sister, Dorothy La Shure, Blue Springs, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Clemmons, Portage; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ione was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert Clemmons; two sisters, Hazel Heft and Geraldine Wiedholz; three brothers, Lyle, Kenneth and David Eagen.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Port-Axtell Community Funeral Home in Portage with the Reverend Ron Helgerson officiating. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday, March 23, 2002 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Divine Savior Nursing home and Dr. Bronson for their wonderful care. Ione was dearly loved by family and will be missed by all her family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Portage United Methodist Church in Ione's name
