William Harold Balls, 89, died at the Logan Regional Hospital on January 8, 1994, after a two-year struggle with cancer.
He was born August 4, 1904, in Hyde Park, Utah, to George David and Julia Webber Balls. He married Lily Valborg Nielsen, August 15, 1928, in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She died in 1968.
On August 15, 1969, he married Ellen Ravsten Clark, in the Logan LDS Temple. She passed away in 1978. He then married Myra Butler Coulam on March 27, 1980 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Myra, of Logan; three stepsons and one stepdaughter: Dee (Lynn) Coulam and William (Christine) Coulam of Hyrum; Cheryl (David) Holmes, Pocatello, Idaho; Jon (Kathy) Coulam, Amalga, Utah; three brothers and one sister, Owen A. (Evelyn) Balls, Dayton, Idaho; Wanda Frandsen, Pocatello, Idaho; Kendall (Jean Marie) Balls, Logan; Clarence (Melba) Balls, Pocatello, Idaho; and now serving a mission in Salt Lake City, Utah; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12 noon, in the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Brent Bastian conducting. Friends may call at the Mortuary Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
