Died at her home in Grant tp. on Jan. 18th, of a complication of diseases the result of old age, Mrs. Rebecca Anthony aged 62 years. Mrs. Anthony has been suffering for over two years, but has been bed fast for about nine weeks. Mrs. Anthony and family have lived in Republic county (sic) for about 18 years. She leaves three sons at home, J.R., C.M. and T.F. Anthony and one daughter Mrs. W. Steine who lives at Oberlin and arrived just in time for her mothers funeral and Mrs. Chas. Peranot and Mrs. Albert Kelly who reside in this county and Olav Perswell who lives in Oklahoma. A large number were present at the ceremonies and funeral which were conducted by Rev. J.W. Babocok and her remains were interred in the cemetery at Wayne on Monday (the rest is unreadable).
