Eugene C. Blake, 61, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, at his home in Shelton, Wash.
He was born in Clarkston July 28, 1944, to James and Clara Blake, who preceded him in death.
Gene graduated from Clarkston High School in 1963 and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1964, serving for 30 years. He had two combat tours in Vietnam. He retired as a T/Sgt.
His passion was cars; fixing, building and restoring them.
He was a member of the Lewiston Eagles Lodge, as were his mother and father.
Gene is survived by his soulmate of many years, Carolyne Crooker; his sons, Wally and Darrell Blake; and his daughters, Kim Ramos and Monica Jones. He is also survived by his brothers, John and Ed Blake; and his sisters, Jane Blake and Barbara Iwai. He had 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Kathy Many.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash., for internment. An Air Force color guard from McCord Air Force Base will present the colors. He is missed.
