August 28, 1932 to July 2, 2012

Devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother,Ellen was born in Mankato, MN raised in Minneapolis and graduated from the University of Minnesota.

Ellen married her college sweetheart,Vernon, moving to Seattle to raise a family. Active in her church, Phi Beta Psi Sorority, and PEO, she traveled extensively. Ellen especially enjoyed gardening, quilting and being with her family and friends. Her gift for hospitality made the many gatherings of family and friends fun and exciting.

Ellen is survived by her children Susan L Ragan (husband Gary), Paul G Anderson (wife Lizabeth), Eric W Anderson (wife Danielle), Virginia E Dow (husband Donald); grandchildren Ian and Matthew Colville; Ryan, Sean, and Stuart Anderson; Brandt Noah, Grace, and Clara Anderson; and Andrea and Olivia Dow.

A memorial service will be held on August 11, 2012, 1:30pm at the Church of the Resurrection. She will be interred with her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery.
