"J. Frank Blaisure, 48, of Montrose, Susquehanna, PA., R.D.#5, died suddenly at home Thursday, January 19, 1978, of an apparent heart attack. His widow is the former Margaret Ann Bohner, dau. of Richard Harold Bohner & Florence Jessie Hewitt of Blakely, Lackawanna, PA.

Born in Jessup Township, Susquehanna County, PA, son of John "Martin" Blaisure, R.D.#4, and the late Frances Elizabeth (Daly) Blaisure, he was a postal clerk in the Montrose Post Office for 19 years and a lifelong resident of the community. A Veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a member of the V.F.W. Ayres-Stone Post No. 5642, Montrose; American Postal Clerks Union, AFL-Cio; Pennsylvania School Bus Association; National Federation of Amateur Softball Association Umpires; and the Fairdale Cemetery Association.

Funeral and committal services were held Sunday, January 22nd, from the Robert A. Bartron Funeral Home, 74 Church Street, Montrose, PA, with the Rev. William C. Nelson, pastor of the Fairdale United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment, Fairdale Cemetery, Fairdale, Susquehanna County, PA." More....
