James O. Harper - 1937
James O. Harper, a well known resident of the Malaga community, passed away Wednesday morning, September 5th at 2:00 o'clock. He had been ill for more than a year, and his death followed a series of strokes. The funeral services will be held from the Bush church at 2 o'clock, Friday afternoon and will be conducted by Evangelist James Gallagher. Mr. Harper was the son of Nelson T. and Amelia Mann Harper. He was born 76 years ago in Monroe County, where he spent his entire life. He was engaged in farming. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Harper, and the following children, Royden Harper, of Lewisville; Urich, McCune and Boyne Harper, of Jerusalem; Mrs. Amelia Neuhardt , of Lewisville, and Miss Stella Harper, of the home. There are also three brothers and one sister surviving, Ernest and D. B. Harper, of Malaga; Clarence O.Harper, of Barnesville, and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Hardesty, of St. Clairsville.
