Also living with her was her son-in-law and daughter, Jesse C. Bland, a truck driver helper for a bottling plant, age 27, born in North Carolina, and Lillian M. Bland, a machine operator in a paper box factory, age 30, born in North Carolina.

According to her death certificate her full name was, Bessie (Long) Culler, a white female, a widow, a retired looper in a textile mill. Her residence was 1100 Franklin Street, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. She was born July 12, 1882 in North Carolina, and died in her home at 7:30 p.m. on December 25, 1972. Cause of death was Arlena-Sclerotic Heart Disease, due to Generalized Arlena-sclerosis. Her parents were listed as John Thomas Long & Betty (York) Long.
