WINSTON-SALEM - Mrs. Brenda Wooten Lawson, 66, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born in Forsyth County on May 30, 1944 to the late Clarence E. Wooten and Cleo Bell Gregory Wooten. Mrs. Lawson was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church and had worked for Compass Group and Stone's Restaurant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Hegwood and Judy Correll. She is survived by her husband, Ken Lawson of the home; two daughters, Angie Lawson of Winston-Salem and Sherry Cox and husband, Joey of Tobaccoville; a granddaughter, Sabrina Baker of Tobaccoville; and two special friends, Linda Foster and Linda Smith. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Styers officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 prior to the Graveside Service at Liberty Baptist Church. A private Committal Service will be conducted at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.
