Graveside services for Freddie Thomas Davenport will be at 2 p.m. today at McNutt Cemetery in Schlater.

Mr. Davenport, 52, died from a heart attack on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

Born in Drew on Dec. 24, 1954, he was the son of Freddie and Maggie Sue (Blaine) Davenport. He resided in the Greenwood area most of life. He worked in the Unit System of Leflore County for 26 years.

Mr. Davenport was a member member of the Walton Chapel Church of God.

He was a duck hunter and loved to fish, and he was a member of Duck's Unlimited.

Mr. Davenport is survived by wife, Martha White Davenport of Greenwood; two daughters, Teresa Carol Wright of Nashville, Tenn., and Tina Muirheid of Rosedale; and three grand-daughters, Jordan Wright, April Lawson and Natalie Lawson.

The Rev. Robert Ingram will officiate at the service.

Burial will be in McNutt Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Cleveland, Sid Peacock, Herman Walker, Sullivan Hawkins, Lester Ware and Allen Weeks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nelson Wong, Howard Hill, Jack Hobson, Hal Wayne Deaton, Clarence Wilson and Robert Moore.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at the Williams and Lord Funeral Home.
