Mrs. Spruill was born April 30, 1926, to Fred and Willie Mae (King) Hoover. She was a native of Carroll County and a lifelong resident of Schlater.
She worked many years for Baldwin Piano Company. She was a member of Schlater Baptist Church and loved to sew and cook.
Mrs. Spruill was preceded in death by her husband, John Spruill; son, Bobby Spruill; and granddaughter, Lindsay McElroy.
Survivors include her daughters, Patsy S. Bailey of Greenwood, Debbie S. Noah and husband Brent of Greenwood; son, Wayne Spruill of Cleveland; brother, Milton Hoover of Durant; grandchildren, Mike Spruill of Petal, Les Spruill of Petal and Scott Jackson of Isola; and special family member and friend, Phyllis Kilpatrick of Cleveland.
Pallbearers are Scott Jackson, Mike Spruill, Les Spruill, Johnny Mims, Pat Barnes and Don Cabrol.
