Iva Carden Blissitt, 85, of 1812 Marie Way, Lawrenceville, passed away Sept. 24, 2003. She was born Sept. 23, 1918 in Crisp County and was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a retired educator and served in administration as a principal. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Phillips Blissitt; parents, Henry E. and Martha Watson Carden; and 10 brothers and sisters. Survivors include son, William Phillips Blissitt Jr.; daughter, Nancy Blissitt West; brother, James A. Carden; sisters, Betty Carden Wade and Sue Carden Johnson; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Litesey Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Hoffman officiating. Interment followed in Northview Cemetery. Lester C.
