Neil W. Stahlman, 81, of North Haven Apartments in Sherman, New York, died Friday at the Twinbrook Medical Center in Erie. He was born in Sigel, NY (Pa ???), July 13, 1901, a son of the late John and Ida Katz Stahlman. Mr. Stahlman was formerly employed at the Clymer Bag Company, The Caflisch Lumber Company in Clymer and at Peak n' Peak. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Doris) Averill of Erie; two sons, Wilber Stahlman of Chicago and David Stahlman of Bloomfield, New Mexico; a sister, Dietha Carroll of North East; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. His wife, Irene V. Stahlman, died February 16, 1983. Friends may call at the Spitzer Funeral Home in Clymer Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A service will be held there Tuesday at 1 pm with James Parker, elder of Lawrence Park Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, officiating. Burial will be at Cutting Cemetery in Clymer.
