Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Cloud Miller were at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 in the Rush Chapel, Oakdale with Reverend Garrett Fuselier officiating. Interment followed in Oakhill Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller of Oakdale was born on December 26, 1927 to Cage and Martha Willis Cloud. She entered eternal rest on April 26, 2008 at the age of 80 years and 4 months in Evangeline Extended Care Hospital, Mamou.
She was a retired employee of the Allen Parish School Board, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Evelyn will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Vernon (Jr.) Cloud and one son, Jeffery Miller.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Bruce and (Eva) Miller of Oakdale, Lois and (Chester) Talbert of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Reverend Jerry and (Wanda) Miller of Oakdale; her brothers, John Herman Cloud of Dallas, Texas, Hubert Cloud of Universal, Texas, Walter Cloud of Pioneer, La. and Roy Cloud of Garland, Texas; her sisters, Carrie Pourteau, Martha Hyatt and Joy Leonard, all of Oakdale and Glen Perkins of Pitkin; her grandchildren, Misty Gushlaw, Selissa Miller, Adraine Miller, Michael Coker, Scarlet Miller and Crystal Miller; her great grandchildren, Makenzie and Andrew Gushlaw, Tristian and Seth Maddox, and Colby Malik.
