Funeral services were Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Christian Center Church for Lynn Ray Willis, 56, who passed away peacefully on January 27, 2009 at 12:24 PM after a lengthy illness at his home with his family gathered around him.

Graveside Services took Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Resthaven Cemetery in Oakdale, La.
Mr. Willis, a native of Oakdale, Louisiana, was the son of the late Rev. Elbert Ray Willis of Oakdale, Louisiana and the former Mary Wheat of Oakdale, Louisiana. Lynn a special needs Downs child, lived the last 35 years in Lafayette,La with his beloved parents. "Lynn was the light of our lives. He will live on in our hearts forever."
He is survived by his mother, Mary Wheat Willis of Lafayette; two sisters, Lori Willis of Lafayette, and Angela Stoops and her husband, Brad of Portland, Oregon; two brothers, Randy Willis and his wife Brenda of Lafayette, and Barry Willis and his wife Gwen of Lafayette; and a host of neices and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Elbert Ray Willis, Pastor of Christian Center Church; Grandparents, Elbert and Bernice Willis and James and Agnes Wheat.
Pallbearers will be Jamen Willis, Micah Willis,Barry Willis,Darren Smith and Brett Leblanc.
