Thomas Floyd Lakey was born September 14, 1917 in San Augustine County TX and passed away January 16, 2007 in Beaumont. He retired as an Operator for Mobil Oil with over 32 years of service and is a US Air Force veteran having served in WW II. He was a member of the Maplecrest Baptist Church in Vidor and a 50 year Mason for B. F. Quicksall No 1370. He loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, and spending time in his garden.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Laura Lakey of Vidor; daughter, Patricia James and husband Gary of Beaumont; son, Bryan F. Lakey and wife Jean of Keller,TX; grandchildren, Wendy Ashworth and husband Derrick of Arlington, TN, Aaron Lakey and wife Bonnie of Keller, TX; eight great grandchildren; brother Vernon O. Lakey and wife Marilyn of Pasadena, TX.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Lum and Ellen Lakey originally of Brookeland, brother, Robert E. Lakey; sisters, Versie Neel and Alma Field.
