EDWARD CHARLES BARTELS

Edward Charles Bartels, age 78, of 140 A Chicago Court, Preshtigo, died Nov. 6, 1989 at Bay Area Medical Center.

He was born in Marinette on June 15, 1911. On Oct. 7, 1939 he married the former Loraine Rathmann at Zion Lutheran Church in Preshtigo. The couple had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Preshtigo and a former member of Ansul for 43 years until he retired in 1974.

Mr. Bartels is survived by his wife, Loraine, 2 sons, Charles and Linda Bartels, of Gibsonia, Pa., Warren and Carol Bartels, of Appleton, 1 daughter, Mrs. Kay Schultz, of Appleton, 3 sisters, Mrs. Les Peterson, of Preshtigo, Mrs. Doretha Stehle, of Preshtigo, and Elizabeth Bartels,of Preshtigo, 5 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter.

Friends may call at the Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the church Friday from 10 until time of services at 11 a.m.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Timothy Meier officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Preshtigo.
