Loraine Matha Bartels, age 77, of 2308 W. Appleton Drive, Appleton, former Preshtigo resident, died Sunday, May 19, 1993 at the Franciscan Care Center, Appleton. The former Loraine Rothmann was born Oct. 27, 1915 in Preshtigo.
She married Edward Bartels on Oct. 7, 1937 in Preshtigo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1989. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Preshtigo, past president of Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid Society and the Missionary Society of the church.
She is survived by 2 sons, Charles (Linda), of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Warren (Carol), of Appleton, 1 daughter, Kay Schultz, of Appleton, 2 sisters, Pearl Sievert, of Oregon, Irma Ploy, of Mich., 6 grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home and at Zion Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Arthur Callies will officiate.
Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Preshtigo.
