Belle Hurkamp Ford, widow of William Johnson Ford II, died in the sixty-fifth year of her life.

Mrs. Ford was a daughter of John G. Hurkamp, Esq. a prominent Fredericksburg attorney. She was born in Fredericksburg where she spent most of her life. She was distinguished for her loyalty and devotion to her family, her friends and her church (Presbyterian). She had the warmest sympathy for all who were in trouble and no needy soul every appealed to her in vain.

Mrs. Ford grew to maturity in Fredericksburg, and in October 1891 was married to the late William J. Ford II, a brilliant young Indiana business man. For some years afterwards they made their home in Fort Wayne, Indiana but about 1912 moved back to Fredericksburg and took up their residence in the old Hurkamp home on Hanover Street.

She had one daughter, Mrs. Beverly (Katherine Ford) Roberts and a grandson, Beverly Ford Roberts; three sisters, Mrs Alice Warren, and Mrs. P. R. Kelm, of Fredericksburg, and Mrs. William McDonald of Providence, Rhode Island, and one brother, Charles H. Hurkamp of Charlottesville, Virginia.
