Bernard W. Acors

Bernard William Acors, 76, of Partlow died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Mary Washington Hospital, after a brief illness.

Mr. Acors was self-employed as the owner-operator of a sawmill for 40 years and was also a farmer. Mr. Acors was a lifetime member of Wallers Baptist Church and a loving and devoted husband and father.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Magnolia Gallahan Acors; two daughters, Rebecca Acors Toy of Durham, N.C., and Betty Acors Sacra of Richmond; a brother and sister-in-law, Benny and Mattie Acors of Partlow; three grandchildren, William Sacra of Outer Banks, N.C., Emily Elliott of Richmond and Kelley Toy of Durham, N.C.; one great-grandchild; one great-niece and numerous nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Wallers Baptist Church. A service of worship and celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, at the church, with the Rev. Todd D. Kube officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
