Mrs. Bernice Bass Dodd, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 24, at her Woodford home.
A Stafford County native, she was a retired telephone operator of C&P Telephone Co., with 35 years of service.
She was also a member of First Christian Church in Fredericksburg.
She is survived by a son, Dewey McClinton Bass Jr. of Woodford.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church. Burial will be at White Oak Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Staddan will officiate.
Pallbearers will be . Ballard, Willie Hamm, Chris Messimer, Casey Messimer, Todd Messimer and Mike Strubury.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Central Virginia
