SHOT FATAL TO PIONEER
Death of CH Alexander of Highland Valley Unexplained.
Whether Charles Henry Alexander committed suicide or whether he accidentally discharged his gun on Sunday morning probably never will be learned, but his body was found by neighbors about 8 o'clock Sunday morning near his ranch in Highland Valley.
Alexander, who was 52 years old, lived with his aged father, George Alexander, who is more than 80 years old, on their ranch in Highland Valley, both being pioneers, Alexander Flat having been named for the father. They came to this section 35 years ago. Alexander had been in Boise for several days and had reached his home Saturday night. Sunday morning a neighbor met him going up the hill with a gun. He said he had heard some coyotes during the night and was going to kill them. About a half hour later another neighbor found his body beside the road. It is thought he might have accidentally discharged the gun. The bullet went thru his heart. Besides his father he is survived by a sister in Massachusetts. The funeral will be held Monday at 2p.m. from the Fry & Summer Chapel. Burial will be in Morris Hill Cemetery. No Inquest will be held.
