Since suffering a stroke in 2000, I have devoted most of my time to researching the family records of both my family and my wife's. My family includes: Kelly, Henderson, Scruggs, Brown, Gooch, Kimbro(ugh), Gleaves, and Parrish in Tennessee. Her family includes: Horn, Roe, Rowe, Wesson, Caldwell, Giddens, Fowler, and Hay(e)s in, and around, Talladega County, Alabama.

At the present time, I am working on a project for the Scruggs Family Association to identify as many Scruggs descendants as possible, based on family lines in our existing database. The next step will be to look for Scruggs surnames that may represent lines of which we are not aware.
