I am the mother of 5 and have been married a LONG time...but genealogy is almost all I do these days!! After learning that my father had lied to us about almost everything about who he was, I spent more than 20 years trying to figure out the puzzle. I found his mother who died in 1978, not the 1930's like he said...I found 2 prior marriages, and 4 additional children...again that we knew nothing about!! It took me 7 years to track those children down after I found out about them...unfortunately just as I found them, one passed away from a 20 year battle with breast cancer...and one more passed away 2 years later...
