Bio

Greetings. I currently reside in Ocean County, NJ. I have no ability to return to the cemeteries that I visited in upstate NY.

You are free to use any photos of grave stones I've posted here. Further, I don't care if I am given credit for them or not.

I only uploaded images of stones; and where I felt that inscriptions on the stones were unreadable, I added "Inscription," followed by the information as I perceived it on the stone. NO OTHER information on the memorials that I created are from me.

It is apparently allowable that one's memorials can be amended and added to by other members, beyond the information on the headstones. All manner of data--places of birth and death, obituaries, links to memorials of children, parents, etc, are added... with no sources indicated!

Apparently, someone adding such data doesn't even need to give their member number, so that someone viewing the memorial can follow up and inquire about the source of the edits! If you see ANY other data beyond the "Inscriptions" that I sometimes transcribed from the stone, I have no further information on such later changes made to the memorials. I have no information on who added the data, or when they added it.

I consider this a very unfortunate format that FAG has followed.

There are plenty of free genealogy sites for one to contribute genealogical info to. Adding unsourced data to Find-a-Grave only muddies the water.
