I am researching my family tree with surnames of Lee, Saunders, Richardson with a long history in Florida on my father's side of my family. My mother's side of my family surnames of birth name Gudbauer (adopted Haughton), Greiner, and Matthews from Ohio.

I have been researching my family tree for John R. Saunders birth 1794 death 1867 and his children plus Samuel Saunders and his children ( Ozilla Saunders Braddock Padgett, Samuel J Saunders, Martha Saunders, Tabitha Saunders, William Saunders..my line). Another son of John R. Saunders was John G. Saunders found in the 1860 Census with children Julia Saunders, John Saunders, Mary Saunders, Mary Saunders, Edgar Saunders, and Floyd Saunders.

The family was in Florida prior to 1845 and John Saunders and Samuel Saunders voted in Florida's first election from the Mount Pleasant Precinct. Samuel Saunders served in the 1st Florida Mounted Militia (Warren's 1836 - 1837). He received property by land grant.

Also Belle Glade High School , Glades Day, Christian Day Class of 1970, 1971, 1972 deceased classmates.
