Bio

I am passionate about gathering and preserving my ancestral/family tree information, and am always willing to help others do the same.

My paternal side is directly from Germany, making me a first generation American on my father's side.

My maternal side also goes back to Germany, but a few generations back, immigrating to Missouri. My maternal side also includes, through my maternal grandmother, two merged lines, throughout more than one generation, of English/Virginia Colonial tobacco planter ancestors.

My family surnames include:

Paternal: Wallmeier, Hoefel (Hofel with umlaut),Freise/Frese, Krah, Lichtenberg, Kirchhoff.

Maternal: Van Booven, Van Bentum, Gatewood, George, Hammock, Salamink, Klusmeyer, Hinchy/Hinchey, Jeffries, McDowell, Duck, Snelling.

Stepfather: Langdon, Barker, Crockett.

Married: Hinz, Hoover

*** If you would like transfer of a memorial that I have created that I am not related to, I am more than happy to transfer! Just ask! I believe the memorials of someone's close friend or distant relative, or a beloved step-family member belongs with a person who loved them, or cares about their heritage, or has more information about them than a stranger who respectfully added a memorial for them, yet knows nothing about them. I have absolutely no problem with that. So if a person was "yours" in life somehow, just ask. Just, PLEASE, do not delete it once you have it, unless there is an undeniable reason to do so. That rule I respect. I check beforehand to make sure there is not already a memorial for someone, so I am careful not to duplicate. Thank you.

** If you see a headstone photo that I have taken, please feel free to use it, without my express permission, as these are not my professional work. These are volunteer photos, and I do this simply to help others find their loved ones. If you feel the need to acknowledge me, that's fine, but it is not why I do this.

++ If I have a photo of a PERSON, that is an instance where I ask that you simply ask my permission first. I am very agreeable.

Happy Grave Hunting!
