Bio

Member & Chairman of the Vauxhall Cemetery Committee. I have photographed all the headstones at the Vauxhall Cemetery and have catalogued those headstones and burial plots.
If I can be of any assistance in photographing any of the Southern Alberta Cemeteries please contact me and I will try to accomodate you.
If I have made any mistakes in my entries, please contact me and I will correct the errors or make transfers. Thankyou to all FAG contributors who have added to my memorials, It is very much appreciated.

As I walk through Cemeteries I wonder of those long gone, what their lives must have been like, the losses & hardships they may have suffered, and perhaps the happiness of a simple life back then.
I hope I have been able to aid in finding and connecting you to your loved one.

This poem says it all:

Dear Ancestor,
Your Tombstone stands among the rest,
Neglected and alone.
The name and dates are chiseled here,
On polished marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care,
Though it is too late to mourn.
You do not know that I exist,
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you,
In flesh, in blood, and bone.
The place you filled so many years ago,
I wonder if you could have known,
Would spread among the ones you left
In all the seeds you've sown.
I wonder if you lived and loved?
I wonder if you ever knew?
That someday I would find you in this spot,
And come to visit you?
