Bio

I was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Falls Church, VA. After 4 years of college in West Virginia and 3 years in the Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, I landed in Hampton, VA, serving the remainder of my enlistment at Langley AFB here.

I liked Hampton so much that I decided to stay, and it's been WAY more years than I realized! I've been contacted by others doing genealogy on my Kabrich family, and recently I've been finding out more about my maternal family tree, the Lawrences and Pikes. I am absolutely fascinated with the way family history becomes intertwined with history I've studied in books - sometimes it gives me chills just thinking about it!

My deceased family is spread far and wide, from Southwestern VA to Connecticut (and maybe others I don't know about yet), so I am happy to have this place to "visit" them, even those I've never met! Searching for my family roots and discovering photographs of relatives (I've known) and ancestors (I've not known) helps me feel a sense of connection to something larger than myself.

I appreciate those who have added my family members to this site, and I would love to pay it forward with any requests in or near Hampton, VA. So please, feel free to ask!

Should I add any of YOUR family's grave sites, please feel free to request a transfer of "ownership."
