Thankyou so much for the picture of Amalia Moscou's grave. It is a great help and hopefully will help me continue to put together the puzzle of my family.

Mark Samuels

My name is Mark Samuels, and you are listed as taking the picture of Mount Carmel Cemetery where my Great-Grandparents are buried. Am working on our family tree and I am still missing photos of their headstones. If you are in the area and can take them for me, I would be greatly appreciated. I also have a few other requests on my page for other members of my family if you know of anyone that can assist. In any event thank you.

RE: Most Holy Trinity Cemetery
I know, can't call on my phone but I do have their address - I was hoping someone was walking in the cemetery and would remember the name and maybe see it on a headstone. The cemetery charges an arm and a leg to find out where relatives are buried!!

Thank you from my mother
You provided a place for Flying Officer ( Nav. ) Joseph Jean Andre "Andy" Ducharme, he was my mother's lost love. I have sponsored his page and when I get the names of those lost in his crew I will sponsor them as well. Thank you very much.

Osborn Family Graveyard
Hello John:-
The Union Landing Historical Society accepted the responsibility of restoring the Osborn Family Graveyard in 2000. This was completed in 2001. I was the Project Director in charge of the restoration and presently Chairman of the committee assigned to maintain this site. The Borough of Brielle has also been very helpful to me. I have copied the inscriptions on the headstones. I am attempting to correct and add to the information posted on Find a Grave, but seem to be experiencing some difficulty. I write you seeking your guidance. My e-mail address is and I am also the Brielle Borough Historian with borough e-mail of My office phone number here at the Borough is 848-232-5117. I will indeed appreciate hearing from and you might possibly guide me how to submit info. I find the official instructions on line a somewhat confusing although probably clear to everyone else. Many thanks for your assistance.

mother of Wizard of the North
We saw this grave with its tribute to showman Anderson's mother. Do you have any idea, John, as to why his mother was shunned? The grave stone said that when she was in trouble, her friends deserted her. Also, do you know why it stated that upon her death the orphans weept/wept? Are we to take it that her showman son was adopted? Thank you for your assistance. - susan

Most Holy Trinity Cemetery?
This is a strange request but I was wondering if you have been to this cemetery? Noticed all the work you have done. I need to find out where Anne Furfey d 1901 is buried and if her husband is with her? I could not find an email for the cemetery and I can't call.

Beth Olom cemetery
Hi Mr. Chiarella,

I noticed that you have taken pictures at Beth Olom cemetery in Queens, NY. I was wondering if you are able to take requests for photos there.

I am hoping to get photos of my great-great grandfather, Asher Levy (d. 1926 Memorial #131305760) and his wife, Rica Levy (d. 1942, #131305825)

Thanks very much.

RE: Salem Fields Cemetery
Thanks for responding.

For my info, is there something about this particular cemetery that presents a problem? It's odd that there are so many photo requests for it, all unfulfilled over such a long period of time.

For reference:

Salem Fields Cemetery
Are you available to take some photos there?

I left a photo request (after a lenghty and extensive search for my ancestors' burials), but I saw that there are numerous requests for that cemetery, some that have been posted for many years.

Can you help?

Steven Novak
Paul Sullivan, Bike New York

hi John;

I wanted to thank you for the page on Paul Sullivan. I worked with him on the tour and other projects and I remember him very fondly from time to time. I am proud to be a recipient of the "Paul Sullivan Leadership Award" from the MS Society for helping with their MS Roll in NYC, an event that he inspired the creation of and donated his time generously to help start. I love your description of him being "calm and sensible and with gentle humor" Indeed. A man of great inner grace. It is good that he is not forgotten.

Thank You!
Thank you for visiting my Grand Uncle John J. Schramm. He was an amazing man, who raised his two younger brothers when they became orphans; one of them being my Grandad. He fought for his country, and it means so much that you took time for him.
