Jim Jones
Hi there. I am a little young to remember Jim Jones and what happened at Jonestown, as I'm only 36 nearly 37. But I remember the stories and it has always interested me, who these people were, and why they sought him out, and who he was and why he turned out as he did. I'm an author and I would like to write a book about the whole thing. I know there are many books out there but there's always new perspectives and untold stories. I was wondering if you might be willing to share your recollections of Jm Jones when you were taught by him in school. What can you tell me about what he was like then? The general view of him is that of a completely unhinged madman who led thousands to a senseless slaughter but that's by far not the whole story. That much I am sure of. What were your impressions then and how did it jive with what happened later? Did you know anyone who was part of Peoples Temple? If you'd like to share I'm certainly curious and willing to listen. I use the pen name Jack Shannon by my real name is Ed Myers. Please get back to me when you can
