RE: Anthony Dexter / Walter Craig
Sorry about that. The group is still a work in progress so I have it set to "closed" right now....people can see it, just not what's on it. I thought once people started becoming members I would ask them if they preferred a public group or a closed one.

Here is the link..just copy and paste into your search bar...if you apply to the group...I will approve you.

Thank you.

Anthony Dexter / Walter Craig
Hello Joe

I am great admirer of Mr. Craig's. I am, however, familiar only with his works while in the film industry. I would love to learn more about his life after he left the industry and became a teacher. I have created a group on Facebook (if you are on there) titled The Anthony Dexter - Walter Craig Appreciation Group. I believe his talents should be remembered and who better to share memories than the numerous students who spent untold hours with him.

If you are interested, please feel free to share the name of the group with your fellow former classmates who shared classes with Mr. Craig...I would love to learn of him through you and also share his memory with others so that they may learn of him, as well.

I added a photograph of his headstone which is in fact at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento. Such a tragic story.

You're welcome. Sorry I'm too busy right now. If you could just make that /those corrections (can't remember now what it was since I'm on to other research...) I'd appreciate it. :)

David Noel Seibert
Joe, While working on my family tree, I noticed that there is a duplicate memorial for David Noel Seibert. Since your memorial was created in 2010 and the other in 2006, you may want to delete yours. The original Find A Grave #16191443 was
created by Bonnie Fortney.

I didn't know CDR Seiler. Wasn't aware of his post-navy activities either. Thanks. Will do a bit of research and see what pops up.

Sonja Marie Johnson
Hi Joe Walker,

I am particularly interested in the victims of Hillside Stranglers, but I am surprised by the information you have provided about Sonja Marie Johnson (1963-1977). You have indeed claimed that this young girl was adopted by Tony and Mary Johnson of Eagle Rock.
However, after much research, I found the identity of what appears to be her parents:

Thank you in advance for your answer.

I think it is ridiculous, even though not prohibited. I actually added the biography from a SAC because I thought it added so much to his memorial, but Bonnie added the photo a while ago and you know, we aren't required to tell the manager of a memorial when we add photos, but she took that from an online obituary. I always write to the paper and ask for permission. The local papers are really easy to contact and they always get back to me promptly. Only one time was I turned down, probably because they could not get a release from the photographer, and that is fine with me. Anyway, I don't add those kind of photos very often.

But these people who just copy photos without permission are doing wrong by Find A Grave. It reflects poorly on the management of this site.

It didn't really bother me that much; the thing that irked me was that she deleted my message without dealing with the issue, and then two weeks later, said she would do what I needed done, just send her the info. Well duh, don't delete the message! Before she deleted my message, I saw other messages to her that were similar, so it looks like she just doesn't pay attention.

How've you been lately? Have you heard from Luis Mata? We were going to plan a photo trip to Angeles Abbey but we never did. The manager is such a paranoid; he thinks we are collecting names to commit voter fraud! It takes all kinds, I guess.

Take care,

14 Years
Happy anniversary of joining this site fourteen years and 2 days ago. I also see that you have contributed 1234 photos, cute number. But after looking at the # of memorials you manage, I'm wanting to send you one just to change that number. Lol.
If I can be of assistance here in Ellis County (TX) send me an email, and I'll do my best. I'm about 20 miles south of Dallas.

Take Care

Joe I was wondering why Dana Paladini isn't listed under 'accidentally in the line of duty' virtual cemetery of yours and how the DC says where the burial is, but they say no record. There was a Harry Paladini who died in 1968 in Sacramento and probably is his father. I'd check with them again. Maybe they got spelling wrong. I have added a photo for him.

Thank you Joe. David is my cousin (a year older). I only met him twice as we grew up on opposite sides of the country. The family is very proud of him. We only wish he had more time here to do good.

Did you know David?

Gabriel Coyoca
Hi Joe, long time no 'see'. I have claimed your photo request for Gabriel, however I was wondering about the plot location being stated as "Special Site". His burial is not listed on Green Hills' own webpage burial locator. Are you sure he is buried there?

Let me know if you find out anything.

Best regards,

RE: Paul Amberg
As I recall, the accident happened before dawn. We had the last guard shift and were being picked up by one of the drill sergeants driving with a 2nd Lieutenant riding shotgun. We were on the paved road begween the highway and the dunes/firing ranges. It seems like at a curve the Sgt. Lost control on some sand and the stake truck with about eight of us in back started tipping over. I remember flying sliding off even though Paul and I were sitting with our backs against the headboard. He was on my left and I was sitting in the middle. I remember waking up on my hands and knees with a tremendous headache. I looked over at the road and saw it strewn with injured soldiers, the truck upside down and all four wheels spinning.
