|Richard Foster||Edith Harrison's Grave|
I'm Richard S. Foster; Edith Cummings/Harrison was married to my granduncle Charles E Harrison. Charles was Mate to Captain John Cummings on the Tug Boat “Nemasket" out of Fall River, as well as being Captain to the “Mikado/City Point” out of New Haven, CT. My granduncle was lost at sea sometime after 1913, but I haven't been able to find how/when/where. I knew he left a wife and daughter, but until I saw the entry in Find a Grave I had lost all links. I hoped that his wife and daughter had lived a long and happy life, but I see now that she died shortly after he did. Do you know anything more than what is posted? I have gone to the Mystic Seaport Museum and found some correspondences, but they were strictly of a business nature. He worked as a steam boat captain for Jeremiah Smith and Son’s in New Haven. I don’t believe he was employed there at the time of his death, because the last public records I found list him as a “mariner: which is a little vague. I hope you have more info, but if not I’m I thank you for posting the grave, it allows me to close at least one part, albeit sadly.

No worries, his entry was originally listed under "C. Frank Banks" so you wouldn't have been able to find it easily. Cheers.

Thanks very much, Tom, for the transfer. And my apologies for the delay in acknowledging. I had a computer crash in September, followed by a number of trips and deadlines, which have caused a major Find-A-Grave backlog. All the best to you. -Joe Klett

I noticed that you left flowers on the gravestone of Roger R. Cummings. He is my Great Great Grandfather and the last known Cummings that we can accurately identify in our lineage. I am hopeful that you know anything about him, or his possible younger brother Thomas. I would be happy to share any of our knowledge with you.

|Sharon Cramer Sceper||Lucille Steinbarth|
Hello Mr. Cummings,
Are you in any way related to Lucille Steinbarth, buried in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth, TX? I saw that you kindly placed flowers in her memorial.
She was Lucille Anema/Anama Turley Steinbarth, born in Kansas in 1908. She was my maternal grandfather's younger sister (his name: Harry Anama).
Thank you for your time, and your caring.

I see that you left flowers on Wilborn Booker Walton's memorial in the Saint Clair Bottom Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. It made me wonder how you are related. Your last name is unfamiliar to me, and I'm hoping you are a long lost family member that may open up other avenues of research.

|Richard K Thompson||Anna Griffith Cummings|
You had left a flower token on several Cummings memorials I had made, so I wanted to let you know that I found an obituary today for Anna Griffith Cummings ( # 68935411) which clarified her maiden name and also at least two of her adopted children. I've updated her memorial, and that of her husband Thomas Cummings, and of the two adopted children that I think were theirs.
This information may be of interest to you pertaining to your own Cummings lineage.
Hope that this helps!
