Simeon English Lewis
Hi John, I am Simeon English Lewis and Katie Cordelia Mason's first grandson. Their daughter Celesta Izella Lewis is my mother. You are missing several bits of information on the Simeon English Lewis family which I would like to provide for you. I am aware that all of the original submitters to Find A Grave feel that everybody else, including direct descendants do not know what they are talking about when it comes to their families. I have been doing Family History research for over fifty years. My Grandfather, Simeon English Lewis instilled that interest in me a long time ago. Simeon English Lewis and Katie had the following children: l) Mabel Elena Lewis 1918-1918; 2) Celesta Izella Lewis 1921-1969; 3) S.E. Lewis 1924-1998. He did not have a full name, just S.E. 4) Naomi Olivia Lewis 1926-1972; 5) Ramona Evelyn Lewis (you know her as Ramona Brinkopf of Sunny Hill Garden Center and she can attest the truth of what I say if you ask her); Mary Naida Lewis 1932-2014 (you know her as the wife of Loren Slinkard) and the last child is Emile Engham Lewis 1938-1941. I can and will provide you with all of the dates of birth, death, marriage, children etc. on the Lewis family from Simeon-George Launius Lewis-Joseph Guild Lewis- Joseph Cooper Lewis-Joseph Lewis who came to Missouri in 1794 from Virginia. I have the line back to John Lewis in Virginia before Virginia was Virginia but hesitate to say anything about that as it is not proven to my liking. Let me know if you want all of this information. You can put it on Find a Grave and claim credit for it if you like. I am interested only in getting the info out to serious researchers. Thanks Paul

Jeannins at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau
I just submitted a request to link John C. and Sarah Jeannin as husband and wife, along with a request to update her full name. These are not my relatives -- I'm just working on a book on a cemetery here in Florida where three of their sons (who died in late 1800s-early 1900s) are buried. This book will document as much history as I can find on people buried here.
