Ida Smith Howeth
Hello, I saw the message you sent me. I am related to Ida because her husband William Harley Howeth was the older brother of my 2nd Great Grandmother Katie Roxie Howeth Foster. Are you related to them?

I'm thinking someone added her maiden name as "taylor" and its wrong. Unfortunately with the new system of adding corrections if you aren't related to the person then you are taking the persons word for it as being correct. Ive had several come back and tell me corrections had been wrong. :(

Will do what I can. It may take awhile but will get back to you soon. No charge love looking and connecting family. If there is anything you could add to her information it might help. My grandparents and great grandparents were from Camargo. Blankenship's (A.V. and E.C.) both buried in Sandlin. Look forward to talking soon.

Hi there,

I am not near Alameda, California. I am closer to Vallejo, California, which also has a Sunrise Memorial Cemetery.

Have sent a request to the person who entered the pic for her husband's memorial. Hopefully he will respond. Otherwise I don't know of anyone else. Do you have more information?

Except for abstinence, one must remember that there were no other "safe" birth control methods. I was in college when the first birth control pills were approved. Use of the diaphragm was not all that common in 1920's or 1930's. Many religions, including some Baptist, Methodist, Church of Christ, etc. frowned against use of such methods.

Aunt Linnie was a sister to my grandfather Edward Offutt..I do not show him in any other marriages in my records.. but that doesn't mean he wasn't married before or after linnie..

I really do not see how there is a single bit of difference. But I did not originate the practice - just following others.

Section 047, Lot 197, Plot 03 - no stone. I'm sorry, even though he was buried with full military honors doesn't mean his stone was ordered and placed. I can check again next time I'm out there though.

I am sorry I do not have it any more. I was suppose to cut all of the names off. But I see that i had miss it. You can call the Altus library and they have it in a book. They could scan it for you. I am no longer in that area or I would do it for you. Bertha

RE: #33772886 and #33772886
Hi Dianna,
I have removed the memorials. When I visited Velma, I saw one cemetery. I had no idea that the area the Bullards were buried in was considered Old Velma Cemetery. So, when I didn't see the Bullards listed in Velma Cemetery, I added them.

I just sent you an email with a bunch of information that I hope is helpful to you! It's at least the basic information we know about the Butts and Hocketts, back about fifteen generations.

Sorry about that! This half of the semester has been busy. Easter break starts today though, so I should have some more time to talk with her. What sorts of things would you be looking for? And do you want things specific to the Hocketts, or...?
