|Brian Hemmings||Sergeant Walter George Kirby|
Walter George Kirby was born in June 1923 in Oxfordshire, England, the child of Sidney and LILIAN Florence Kent. He died on March 26, 1943, at the age of 19.RAF Volunteer Reserve.
Lilian was firstly married to Montague Hemmings who sadly died in the great War.
Could not trace any more information on Sidney Kirby, but Lillian passed away 23 Nov 1958 • Central Middlesex Hospital, England.
Would be very pleased to hear if there is any more research to be found.
Thank you Brian H

|HomesteadGirl||photos - East Rockingham Cemetery|
Hi Cath, I've received the following message and thought I'd share it with you, given that you're the one that has added the photos.
"On the page for Leonard Heggie it has "calculated relationship" listed for Dorothy Heggie. I would like to confirm that she was his wife, Leonard and Dorothy are my grandparents. I would also like to say thank you for putting the photos on the page. I didn't know where they were for quite some time and it meant a lot to be able to see the memorial and know I can find them again.
thanking you and kindest regards
kind regards Heather

How am I able to locate the extended family indicated on the memorial stone. Leonard had a daughter in the UK who also has children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Do you know how I may find this information. Ancestry.co.uk is not helping at all in this search. Kind regards. email address email@example.com

Oh right, thanks, I just wondered if it was at one of the churches I know. I have only driven past St Lukes Woodside, it isn't on Findagrave, I doubt it has a burial ground as it isn't very old.

You are too kind :) Good job, have added photos - you can change the sort order on either memorial.
I know Croydon, and the parish church of St John the Baptist, and I wondered if you know where in Croydon, Alfred and Elizabeth Kirby were married?

Thank you for your message. Am glad you are pleased with the photos, just sorry about the quality - as you can see I was facing almost directly into the sun.
"Also it's a bit far for me to go." lol - couldn't really be any further, could it?

I'm enjoying your memorials. Thanks for leaving a token on one of mine.
You should perhaps apply to the administrators of Find A Grave to make Chris Douglas Mainwaring's memorial 'famous'. It will get special treatment, then.
Nice to meet another Aussie Find A Graver.
