Hi Libby: You left a child flower and saying for a baby on memorial 11131028. Just thought you should know this women was 45 years of age and you might want to change your flower and saying. I have notified the owner of the memorial of his error. Thanks!

Isaac Burnett
Thank you for the 'heads up' on the duplicate memorial page for Isaac Burnett. I didn't intend to create a duplicate so will look into it. Isaac is my ancestor, a great grandfather to some degree. I notice the other contributor has over 13,000 entries, so I don't know if Isaac is his ancestor or not, will have to check it out. If he is, and is closer in lineage than I am, I'll try to fix the situation. Thank you for your interest.

RE: Daniel Maddox
That's correct, it's no longer there. What happened to it is anyones guess. There was nothing to even suggest exactly where it was. Only cemetery records that put it in the location I marked on the photo.

Photo Requests
Hi Libby -- I'm looking at your photo requests for Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater, MI. There are some Taylor's on your list for whom I don't find records, although there are some unmarked graves near other people on your list. There are 59 people with a Taylor surname. I'm wondering if you'd like to look at the list & see if there are others for whom you would like photos? No guarantees, but I'll try. I'm new to this cemetery, but found a great GIS map for it that shows the physical location of the grave & the names of others buried nearby. If you want to look at the list, please email me at I'm Aunt Hoot on here, btw.

I transferred this memorial to you and now you can put anything you want on there. I am not related and didn't know this person. I must have found the obit somewhere.

L. Burnett
Talley family in Faukner
county, Arkansas. I am wondering if you are related to the William R. Talley and Rachel Cordelia Simons Talley family. Is there a connection between William R. Talley and James Washington Talley. I had thought maybe they were brothers. I am also trying to figure out how James Syvester Talley works into the Talley family. He is listed on one census above the William R. Talley family. Yet, Rachel Cordelia Talley doesn't number him as one of her children.
Can you email me directly so that we can discuss this more.

I walked the Oakdale Cemetery yesterday and did not see this grave. I did not see any HARDY graves in this cemetery. If you are sure she was buried here, I will make another trip over there and give it a more thorough survey. I live just a few miles away.

Good afternoon Sir/Ma'am. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to contact Forest Home Cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) for your photo request(s), ask them whether or not there is a grave marker, and then either post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

Forest Home is a massively humongous cemetery with well over 100,000 burials, and the information is vital in order to photograph a grave for you. Forest Home disavows all photo volunteers, refusing to aid them in finding graves, so your mission is indispensable and integral to helping fulfill your photo request. Should you choose not to accept this mission, your photo request will most likely continue to go unfulfilled. This message will not self destruct in five seconds. Good luck! Ace

From the Find A Grave Dossier: All personnel are advised that Find A Grave states it is the responsibility of the photo requestor to provide the grave plot (section and lot number) to assist the volunteer photographers.

Mission Success: Last year I successfully completed 200 photo missions at just Forest Home that had the grave location information provided by the photo requestor. In just over a year I have victoriously concluded 900 photo missions with 150 triumphs already in 2014.

RE: Hello/ Groups
This is a friendly closed group: Find A Grave

This one is fun: Cemetery Oddities (also closed):

I just visited "Find a Grave Volunteers" and got caught up in a lengthy, more than 100 comments to a thread, debate about whether or not to transfer. This one has its ups and downs:

This one is interesting with no fuss, "Homemade Headstones"

This one has its ups and downs, " : Loving our lost family, friends & neighbors for eternity"

You are probably familiar with most of these?

RE: Hello
About the siblings feature: It's not that you can link siblings to each other but those people linked to the same parents show up on this list, sometimes as half-siblings.

New editing: I like it because editing gets done faster. Not so many ignored and waiting out the 30-days before being sent to editors. And faster when received - just have to okay them instead of DO them. If you deny an edit, it takes a couple minutes to say why. I sometimes forget to check them. There were 17 waiting for me the last time I looked. Okayed 15, denied 2 in just a few minutes.

Groups: I seldom visit any more. One of the newer ones is friendlier, name forgotten. I'll get back to you on which one.

RE: Hello
Glad to see you are still here. I'm good, still doing Find a Grave with less gusto but making progress. I don't spend much time at the Find A Grave groups - too much fussing. No opinion goes unscathed. I do like the new editing changes. Have you noticed that Siblings are now listed?

LOL, well you certainly need to be patient when it comes to Find A Grave, they get thousands of requests a day Have you talk to the other owner.

RE: Richard A. Wade
1)Location of body unknown should be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition should be determined and updated within 30 days.
2)In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location

I just found the duplicate while looking for soldiers and as your memorial was a Burial Unknown and in longer than 30 days, I sent the correction to you instead of the person who had the memorial in the correct cemetery. If I were you I would ask for a merge and both will be right.
