Good afternoon Sir/Ma'am. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to contact Forest Home Cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) for your photo request(s), ask them whether or not there is a grave marker, and then either post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

Forest Home is a massively humongous cemetery with well over 100,000 burials, and the information is vital in order to photograph a grave for you. Forest Home disavows all photo volunteers, refusing to aid them in finding graves, so your mission is indispensable and integral to helping fulfill your photo request. Should you choose not to accept this mission, your photo request will most likely continue to go unfulfilled. This message will not self destruct in five seconds. Good luck! Ace

From the Find A Grave Dossier: All personnel are advised that Find A Grave states it is the responsibility of the photo requestor to provide the grave plot (section and lot number) to assist the volunteer photographers.

Mission Success: Last year I successfully completed 200 photo missions at just Forest Home that had the grave location information provided by the photo requestor. In just over a year I have victoriously concluded 900 photo missions with 150 triumphs already in 2014.

RE: Hello/ Groups
This is a friendly closed group: Find A Grave

This one is fun: Cemetery Oddities (also closed):

I just visited "Find a Grave Volunteers" and got caught up in a lengthy, more than 100 comments to a thread, debate about whether or not to transfer. This one has its ups and downs:

This one is interesting with no fuss, "Homemade Headstones"

This one has its ups and downs, " : Loving our lost family, friends & neighbors for eternity"

You are probably familiar with most of these?

RE: Hello
About the siblings feature: It's not that you can link siblings to each other but those people linked to the same parents show up on this list, sometimes as half-siblings.

New editing: I like it because editing gets done faster. Not so many ignored and waiting out the 30-days before being sent to editors. And faster when received - just have to okay them instead of DO them. If you deny an edit, it takes a couple minutes to say why. I sometimes forget to check them. There were 17 waiting for me the last time I looked. Okayed 15, denied 2 in just a few minutes.

Groups: I seldom visit any more. One of the newer ones is friendlier, name forgotten. I'll get back to you on which one.

RE: Hello
Glad to see you are still here. I'm good, still doing Find a Grave with less gusto but making progress. I don't spend much time at the Find A Grave groups - too much fussing. No opinion goes unscathed. I do like the new editing changes. Have you noticed that Siblings are now listed?

Well, don't worry about it. She might have quit Find A Grave.

I see that you are still active here. Good. Just wondering.

RE: Richard A. Wade
LOL, well you certainly need to be patient when it comes to Find A Grave, they get thousands of requests a day Have you talk to the other owner.

RE: Richard A. Wade
1)Location of body unknown should be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition should be determined and updated within 30 days.
2)In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location

I just found the duplicate while looking for soldiers and as your memorial was a Burial Unknown and in longer than 30 days, I sent the correction to you instead of the person who had the memorial in the correct cemetery. If I were you I would ask for a merge and both will be right.

What can you tell me about Dorothy (#73734850)?

Sandra K Bryant - Newnansville
you posted a request for a photo. She is listed twice in this cemetery. The earlier memorial created for her already has her tombstone picture.

Thank you for writing about the beautiful memories about your Nano. Ruth Alma Ward was my grandmothers sister. My grandmother was Norma Lucille Ward ( Sowell ). My grandmother (Nanna) died when I was 2 years old and since we lived in California we never got the chance to visit with the Ward Family in Arkansas so i loved hearing about your memories.

Libby - I put mine one because the original had no birth or death date. Should I take mine off on the chance that the other will be corrected?

I am having a time finding this cemetery. When I did it looks like it may be out where I can not get there. It is very far from me. If I can get that way I will but it will take me some time if you are willing to wait or pass it on to some one else. Thank you Rosemary (Barclay) Barker

RE: William T. Birchett
I do not know what William's middle is. There is no headstone with info on it so if any one in the family knows where he is buried it would be a good time to mark it or it will be lost. There is a old funeral home marker with no info on it next to some Birchetts, maybe your dad will know.
