RE: William Stanley
My pleasure. It was a nice morning and an easy cemetery to walk through. Found graves of several of my relatives.

Westview photo requests

I would like to help you find your photo request at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

Westview is massive the largest cemetery in the whole Southeast. Would you please help me by calling the cemetery office at 404-755-6611 to find out whether the grave is marked with a monument or marker or both AND what the section and lot numbers are.

Then I will gladly look.

The office is reluctant to give out that information to non-relatives.

RE: I'm Confused
Thanks, I would appreciate it a lot. I'm helping a friend research her daughters ancestry. If it would help, I can look up the other family members that are buried there. This family may be buried nearby. Of course, they might not be too. You never know. I have one family I was looking at that pretty much most of three generations were buried in the same cemetery, but not in a close grouping. Another family was all in the same section though. You never know.

RE: I'm Confused
Sorry for the second message, I was curious. Cyril's family, the Morris family is buried in that cemetery. Parents, siblings, and maybe grandparents too. Quite a few of them.

I don't know if they are or not, but many of their family are buried there including a set of parents and several siblings. I would have to double check to tell you which set of parents though. If you happen to find them, I would really like to know! It's quite a mystery for me!

RE: I'm Confused
I guess I should have sent a better explanation of what I was trying to say. Sorry about that, but I am pretty tired and did too much on Thanksgiving I guess! I was looking at the memorial for Marian Morgan Morris and read what someone else had posted. Didn't catch the name, but they said the Marian Morris the memorial was dedicated to didn't have a daughter by the name of Elizabeth, which is the Marian I'm looking for. To possibly help others I thought the extra sentence I sent would help them. Still looking for Marian Freeman, wife of Cyril Morris and mother of Elizabeth Morris was born in 1907 like the memorial you have, but passed away in 1984. If you don't want to add the additional information, I understand. It sounds like someone might have been frustrated at some point by people who thought she was the Marian Morris who was married to Cyril and mother to Elizabeth.
Sorry to bother you, but Merry Christmas and happy tombstone hunting!

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

thanks for letting me know that I've duplicated my aunt's memorial. I deleted the latest one. I see there is another, which has incorrect information on it, photos taken from my, and created after my first memorial done in 2008, #27793556. The one I'm referring to is no: 34652814, by D C McJohnathan-Swarm, the same person I've had many problems with over the years on this website. I prefer that his be deleted also as he does not have the right information.

I just tried to delete the transferred memorial that was created by D C McJohnathan-Swarm, and I cannot do it without requesting from F.A.G. which I've just done. I will be unhappy if they tell me I must delete my memorial to my grandmother since I created it before McJohnathan did one, from which he took info off my ancestry page to do his.

Yes, I'm aware of the two memorials. I've been working on cleaning one up, #34543882, created by someone distantly related who had lots of misinformation. It's taken me about 2 yrs for him to transfer management to me so I can straighten my grandmother's memorial with correct facts. As you can tell, he created his memorial after I created mine and took much off and lifted photos off my ancestry page to put on F.A.G. which is strictly prohibited
I will get his off if I can, since he created it, and will add more to mine.

Thanks, Mary 47079221

Milmo L. Black
Hello, I received a message from you that said the Milmo L. Black, page memorial# 132345801 that was transferred to me recently to me by P. V. Hays is a duplicate. When I search for Milmo Black is the only one that shows up. Where is the duplicate?

I sent an edit to the other contributor asking them to remove their duplicate. Mine was created first.

You can tell which one is the duplicate by the memorial number (if they are created on the same day).

Thanks for the heads up.

Gerald Frank Johnson
Hi, Libby--I wrote the daughter listed in Mr. Johnson's obituary, and I printed out what his memorial looks like so she could see what I was talking about. I printed out all the government military paperwork that would help her apply for a military marker of her choice to be placed at her father's grave. I mailed the packet Tuesday---I included my email address and my phone number and asked if she thought my contacting her was inappropriate, to please contact me. Nothing yet--but, will keep you posted on what shakes out. After looking at your memorials, it appears this was not the Frank Johnson you were looking for...?

Gerald Frank Johnson's grave
Hi--I just read up on military markers and it looks like Mr. Johnson IS due for a marker, free of charge to his survivors. Did you know his family at all? In his obituary, it states he has a surviving daughter in IL. If you don't know her (or didn't know Gerald), I could write her and enclose a packet of info, in case there is nothing they've ordered to mark his grave. Let me know---thanx--Ann

I'm retired---I have the time. I'll see what I can find out tomorrow. Do you know of any of his living relatives? Neither of us may be able to make a request for his marker on our own. LMK---Ann

RE: Gerald Johnson's marker
Hi---I was out taking cemetery pictures yesterday--still no stone marker for Gerald. If he is a relative of yours, since he served in the military, I would think he would qualify for a military plate for his grave. ??? I see many graves that have only the bronze military plate as their markers. Good luck--Ann
