|Bonnie Pierce||Pierce family|
Hi Mr. Tatum,
I am trying to locate some Pierces that I was told were buried in Woodland Cemetery in Havanna. They are:
Ernest Augustus (Gus) Pierce: 1/17/1894 (Perry, GA) - 1968
his wife: Polly Atkinson Pierce (b 1904, died?)
his son: Jack Lester Pierce (1940-1987)
another son: Chester James (Jim) Pierce (1925-1958)
If there is someone else I should contact regarding this cemetery, please let me know. I have been searching for these relatives (Ernest was my grandfather's brother) for a long time and am having no luck. Gus moved to the Havanna area from Georgia during the Depression and worked on someone else's farm (I don't think he owned any land). His two daughters moved away but I believe his sons are buried in this area also.
Thanks so much!

|Steven Brown||Mike Leeds photo|
Thank you William,
This Air Force Veteran's mother and stepfather had closed their home and their minds to Mike over 40 years ago as I understand it.
When I, and several other classmates, tried to find him for our 50th HS reunion we learned that his mother hadn't known where he was for many years and didn't seem to care.
Another classmate discovered his death and place of burial. Several of us have decided to find all we can about his life after HS and post a biography to his memorial. Having a photo of his marker is a major step toward our goal.
No one should be so abandoned.
Thank you from me and all his HS classmates.

I was told that Herbert Holland's tombstone located in the Biloxi National Cemetery was washed away during Katrina. I would think by now, it would have been replaced?

|Janie Logsdon||RE: James Albert Isham|
Hello, Your name was on J. Albert Isham,s information and I assumed that you were the person who had entered this information. I apologize for the mistake. I had just been to the funeral and interment of his wife Christine Isham and know that she was buried next to her husband in St. Dominic Cemetery, Springfield, Ky.
Again, I am sorry if I sent this to the wrong person.

Interesting that it should say it is a duplicate, since findagrave will not allow duplicate requests. If you make a request and there is already one, it will tell you and not allow it. However, I have removed it and I will go take the photo myself. Thank you for your effort in this regard.
