The edit request may have looked unreadable since it included the HTML code which would display links to the other individuals in the edit; it can be cut & pasted directly into the bio section of a memorial. Burial location for Olive C Ann Hicks is currently unknown. You may transfer John Henry Hicks memorial to me (he is a distant relative) and I can make the edit if you prefer. DL

Thanks for your message. Sorry, I did indeed send duplicate parent information!
The parents of Minnie Lou Colburn (#66290997) were George Colburn (#144162014) and Mary Elizabeth Owens (#80393141) according to the Alabama, Deaths and Burials Index (FHL Film #1908867).
Minnie Lou married Andrew Hampton Crawford (#66290841) in 1900 or 1910, according to Ancestry's family trees.
Andrew H. (Hampton) Crawford previously married Ruthie E. Nickelson in Bibb County, Alabama on 20 Nov 1887, according to Ancestry's Alabama, Select Marriages, 1816 - 1957.
I have not yet found burials for Andrew's parents, but they are listed as Andrew Crawford (b. Georgia) and Mime Lue Crawford (b. Alabama) in the Alabama, Deaths and Burials Index (FHL Film #1908587).

To whom it may concern,
Thank you for your photo and recognition of my Great Uncle Festus . He was my Grandmothers favorite Brother. I was told as were many others in my family about how he had passed away at such a young age.
I would like to share this short but helpful story in the hopes it will be shared with current and future children.
Festus had a pet mule he loved very much and was only allowed to play or ride him with supervision. One day he sneaked into the barn with only a farmhand knowing, To take his mule out into the field to play. The mule became spooked at something in the field and kicked Festus. He was hurt but convinced the farm hand not to tell his parents for fear of being in trouble.
Festus returned home and went to bed early without eating supper. My Great Grandparents assumed he was ill but not seriously. The next morning they awoke to find Festus had died from his injuries(the mule kick caused internal bleeding). So very upset my Grandparents found out what had happened by the Farm Hand.
The Moral is do not hide things from your parents.

|Mrs. Bee||RE: Cemeteries you have photographed|
First, thank you for allowing me to use the photos.
The specific cemetery -- for right now -- is Memory Hills Garden in Tuscaloosa. The person is Velma (nee Lee) Griffin and her husband and children (if they are buried there).
Second, my primary research lines are Dean (from which Velma descends), Carpenter, Hudson, Hampton, Patterson, Short, Burney, Culpepper, and all lines associated with them.
I live in the Anniston, Calhoun Co., Alabama, area. If I can ever be of help to you, please let me know.

|George Alexander||RE: Melissa Sexton Johnson|
Jacque: Got the Death Date: 27 Feb 1943 from the KY Death Certificate. That's the same document that your findagrave entry cited for the issue related to DOB. If I had to guess, I would bet that the Death Date (Mar 2, 1943) that you show on Find A Grave Memorial# 64689666 is actually a burial date.
I found the document through ancestry.com. If you want a copy of it, I have saved it as a jpg image file and would be happy to send it to you. email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
According to ancestry.com, her husband, Travis Wesley Johnson) was my 1st cousin, 1x removed. His mother, Rachel Emma Abrams, was my maternal grandfather's (Willie Clyde Abrams) sister.
Best regards and good hunting.

|Jim Simpson||Henry, Lula, and Anna|
Check out the link to daughter Anna for her parents H.W. and L.B. (start at your memorial for Henry, 65239812). I added many memorials and photos for the Ryan cmemtery and tried to include family links. It is especially nice when I can link an infant to parents located elsewhere.
Thanks for your memorials and photos that made this possible.
