Anna Stites
I'm not Mookie, but I did remove the request because I figured I don't want volunteers going out to the cemetery trying to find Anna Stites grave. I will try and find where she is and then put in another request. Sharon

Anna Stites
Hello, I am not sure where Anna Stites is buried, was just going on FindaGrave's Memorial for her. The Memorial # 93711589 for Anna Stites, it looks like the death date might be 1907 because you can barely read 07. I would think that it might be her but I would hate to assume and combine the two Memorials and the picture when it is not her. I am going to try and find if my Anna Stites was in Wisconin when she died. Also in doing this if it is not my Anna Stites then maybe I will find out about the one in Wisconsin. Will keep in touch when I find something. Thanks, Sharon

Barbara Cover Neuroth
Dr. Karban, would you please transfer the site of my dear friend, Barbara Cover Neuroth, #112292613, to me, Virginia Hudson Young #47093768?
Barbara and I met right after high school. I borrowed my parents' car and picked her up every weekday morning so that we could get from Waterloo, Iowa, to Cedar Falls, Iowa, where we attended college and graduated in 1958. I am not sure of the year, but Barbara was an Old Gold Beauty there (now UNI), and she was one of the top students academically as well. In 1959, I was her matron of honor. I appreciate very much the work you have done on the part of the deceased.
Best wishes--

That's not necessary if you want to cut and paste his story from under the picture that would be great though. Thanks for the offer, have a good day.

RE: cashman memorials
Hello Dr. Karban,

Thank you for what you are doing in the SD dB find a grave and adding Mom to that dB. I don't want to change anything until I speak with my siblings, and this would be a family decision. My younger sister maybe interested in maintaining the records, but I'm completely booked for time in my schedule to take on such a task.

I think leaving things how they are, or the grave information where it is, should be fine. My Father's grave site is in Arlington National Commentary. My Mother divorced my father in 1988. With Dad left in Arlington dB, my cousins will be able to find him easily.

If I sound confused with how this works in combing the grave information or keeper of the information, I'm happily willing to learn. do let me know.

Thank you,
Melissa

Marie, Thank you for offering to transfer memorials. I don't think I would find the time to do them Justice but I appreciate the offer. Take care, Lori

Thanks for the transfer. It is one of those cases where the headstone says one year of birth (1904) but the South Dakota Vital Recods and the Social Security Death Index both have another year (1905).

Thanks for all you have done.

RE: Lydia Hintz Bender
Well, we're almost there - I see you have added the photo to Albert's wife - now just need to remove it from the other Lydia Hintz - just the photo, not the whole memorial. According to the FAQ section here, the person who puts up the photo has to be the one who removes it. Even though now I'm now "maintaining" the memorial, I don't have rights to remove the photo.

RE: Lydia Hintz Bender
PS I now realized I did this backwards - I should have left Lydia Schultz attached to her husband, and unlinked her from Martin Hintz. That way her photo would have stayed with her - and then I could have made a new Lydia Hintz memorial and linked it to Martin Hintz and the other Mr. Bender - this is the first time I've tried to amend a memorial, so sorry it is making extra work for you - I'll know better next time.

RE: Lydia Hintz Bender
Yes, I had to look up how to remove a photo, and it says that only the contributor (you) can remove it. She still has the original Find A Grave Memorial# 73690151

I made a new memorial for Mrs. Albert Bender - Lydia Schultz Bender, Find A Grave Memorial# 166955682.

The photo could be added to that one instead, if you are so inclined.

Thanks
Susan

Hi,

I am working on getting Lydia's page updated. I cannot remove the photos attached to her memorial since I am not the one who put them up. Would you help me with this?

Thanks again for your help.

I can already tell how taxing this can be...can't imagine after how long you've been doing it. Must admit I had to create drama over my great-grandmother is "not buried there" memorial. Diplomacy wasn't working .. LOL.. anyway, I appreciate all that you have done, for our Country and find a grave. Hope you had a good 4th too!

Sorry to hear that... some people don't understand that no one owns factual information. And would prefer drama...
