|Dan Herriage||David & Hulda Martin|
I have been contacted about a duplicate on David Martin. The problem is there are two sites for Grays Chapel Cemetery. Grays Chapel Cemetery has 1,639 interments and Grays Chapel United Methodist Cemetery has 37. We need to work together on this to merge into one. I have encountered this before. I don't mind deleting my entry but I feel we should work at getting them entered into the larger site. Let me know how I can help

|Andy Baker||RE: Loreta (Leigh) Dowda|
No, I had not seen that, but that is really nice. It is interesting that Mr. Dowda's name was spelled as Marton in it, which matches his name on his WW II draft registration card from 1942.
Also, while looking up that affidavit, I found two separate affidavits—one from 1987, one from 1991—for Loreta Leigh Dowda that confirmed some facts about her. (Loreta was my grandmother's first cousin.)
Thanks again for all your help!

|Dorothy Wilkie||Daniel/Perry graves|
I added a photograph for Jerry Daniel buried at Southside Cemetery in Troy, NC. My husband knew Jerry Daniel though his work in the local school system. He died in a terrible automobile accident involving a log truck, a shock to everyone in the community.
We located the grave marker for Enid Perry, but no death dates were on it so I did not post any photos. We will check on this from time to time.
Also, we did not find the grave of the younger Raymond Perry, but my husband will get in touch with someone to find out where his grave is.
Best wishes, Dottie Wilkie

|Rachel McCulloch||RE: Muir|
I am taking the papers over to the church tomorrow. Hoping we can find these 3 people.
Do you know where her parents are buried at?
Added by Rachel McCulloch on Feb 09, 2014 7:00 PM
I called the church today and they told me that they don't have a listing for your person in the cemetery. I am taking over the death record for them to look at. We are thinking either there isn't a stone for your person or the stone can't be read. If I find out anything else I will let you.

|Brad||Oakwood Cemeteries in High Point.|
Sharon, Oakwood Memorial Park & Oakwood Municiple Cemetery are two seperate Cemeteries but they are actually adjoining just to make it extra confusing.
I looked at some of the McCain Memorials and he has selected the wrong cemetery for some.
Generally what I found is that if they are at Oakwood Memorial Park it will say that specifically. Oakwood Memorial Park is a private owned cemetery. It was founded about 1929?
Oakwood Municiple Cemetery is owned and maintained by the city of High Point.
John Henry McCain & Ora are at Oakwood Memorial Park
George Elwood McCain Oakwood Memorial Park
Eula Mae Smith McCain Oakwood Memorial Park
Mary Ruth McCain Setliff & spouse Oakwood Memorial Park
Thelma Henry McCain may actually be ot Oakwood Municiple.
Good Luck getting these memorials moved and or corrected. I have had very limited success getting that contributor or the admins to fix these sort of problems. Its frustrating.

|Karen Crowson- Stout||RE: Headstone Photos|
I has been a pleasure getting these photos for you. This is something I've started not to long ago and I really enjoy doing them. I will go to a cemetery and photograph the whole thing and then get on Find a Grave to full fill as many requests as I can and when I'm done with that one I will go on to the next one. If I can be of service to you I will try my hardest. Sincerely Karen

Sharon I have not found her yet. She must be in a section I have not done. You can try to get the plot location by calling Phone: (336) 299-5177. Most likely they will give it to you. If they ask be sure to state you are related.
Please let me know if you get it & also please add it to the memorial.

|Cathy Small||Nancy Boatright|
I went out to Brushy cemetery looking for my own family and thought I would try and find a few for find a grave. I found several Boatrights but only 1 Nancy. The headstone reads as Nancy J. 1854-1943 with Wm. R. 1846-1916. This Nancy is similar but not exact. What do you think?

I am photographing it by sections so thats how I know what section the person is in. There is a map of GMP on the main page.
They dont want to help you find people so Im making sure to atleast include this info as I am adding people there and asking others to add it to thier memorials as I identify where they are.

You should contact the city and have them change their records to reflect that Helens headstone is with Eli's. I returned to the cemetery today and took pictures of both front and back of their head stones. They are just down from my late husbands headstone.

Hi Sharon, I've loaded your photo request for Willard's memorial. However, the plaque with his name and date hasn't been added yet. There was only a piece of paper with his name taped to his crypt. I will continue to check back and once the plaque has been installed, I will update his memorial with a new photo. Have a great day! Mary Lou
