RE: Eva Vickery
Hi Sharon,

Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of Eva's grave, but we only live about 45 mins from the cemetery, so next time we're there I will take one and upload it.

Yes, Dad does remember Martha (she goes by the name Ann) quite well; she was still living at last check and Dad keeps in touch on an infrequent basis. Last time Dad talked to her was 4 or 5 years ago; she was living in the Columbia SC area at that time. Dad said she never got married or had any children that he knew of.

I am not a blood relative of the Vickerys (that I know of) but our family is related to them by marriage dozens of different ways. I would be happy to share the info Dad and I have on the Vickery family if you think it might be helpful. Let me know and I'll provide you with contact info, etc.

Mike

RE: Eva Vickery
You're welcome, and thanks for updating it! Eva was my great-aunt. My father and I were looking at some family info on Findagrave a few days ago and he questioned her death date of 1933 since he remembered her well from his childhood (Dad was born in 1936.)We checked out her gravestone, and yes, it was difficult to read, so we cleaned it off as best we could...

Thanks for all your contributions to Findagrave!

Edna Beard
James H. Boroughs
Hi Sharon:
I am trying to determine if James H. Boroughs is my great grandfather. I believe his 10th child with Sarah is my grandfather, William Welborn Burroughs. It appears my grandfather changed the spelling of his name to Burroughs. He married Rosa O'Brien and they had 3 children - one of which is my father. If you have any information to corroborate this finding please let me know.
Thanks,
Edna Rose Burroughs Beard

BTW, I knew a Joyce Bean Nelson from Rockingham. Do you know her by any chance?

RE: Obits
I think he wrote on each obit the name of the newspaper & the date. McCurtain County had 3 or 4 different newspapers years ago. On the page that had the letter to Santa, was the other Holman related to Elizabeth? I thought the Santa letters were so neat. I think anyone would really like to add that to their family history records. You probably could add that to her memorial. I'm still looking through old obits and will send the ones you want as I find them. Talk Later And you are welcome--Glad to help

I have added a copy of his obit to the listing. I found it in a stack of newspaper clippings that I got from an aunt who helped clean out a house in Columbia, Tn.

Jesse Riggs
Article I happen to have --
Jesse Riggs -one of the oldest settlers of the county, died at his home southwest of BERWICK January 12, 1891, the result of injuries received about a week before. While he was helping drive several colts into the barn at his place one of them struck him and knocked him down on the frozen ground. Three of his ribs were broken, and the lining of his lungs was pierced by one of the bones. He was eighty-three years old and did not possess the strength to recover. His burial was in the cemetery at BERWICK.

Just thought if you didn't have this you might be interested in it.

Lessie McMasters Kivett
I added a photo of the headstone at what I'm sure is Lessie McMasters Kivett's grave. There appears to be a grave beside that of Eli Larkin Kivett but there is no foot maker visible. It's probably sunken and covered with grass.

Mae Terry headstone photo and location
Thank you, Sharon! My name is Sharon as well, and I am Mae Terry's grand daughter. I have been trying to find out where she ended up as her obit. said she was buried in Clyde Park, but I cannot find her there. I was unable to attend her funeral as I was out of state for my job the year she passed. Now that i know I will have to go look for her when I next get to Livingston.

RE: James Gryder
I was happy to be able to get this photo for you. I have a map for this cemetery, and it helps tremendously that you usually have a plot number listed with your photo requests. I will get some more photos for you in a few days. I will also try to get some info on Henry Moose as well.

112471091 Frances Burslem
Hi, Another findagrave contributor noticed that your memorial for Frances has her in the wrong cemetery. She is actually buried at North Carolina > Rockingham > Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GRid=118190965&CRid=2159318&). I had created a memorial for Frances when I canvassed that cemetery last year. Your memorial predates mine and I've deleted the duplicate. Please associate this memorial to the correct cemetery. Thanks! Perry
