Do you want the hard copy obituary for W. J. (Joe) Bolin? And you haven't sent me a list of the other ones you need. Talk later

Hi Sharon,
Thanks for the transfer. I tried the edit tab
but for some reason it would not go thru.
Have a great day,

Hi Sharon,
Would you consider transferring this memorial to me. He is the husband of my aunt and also my cousin. His father was my dad's nephew. His wife was my mother's sister.

Hi Sharon! Thanks for the update to his memorial! If he's related to you in any way, I'd be happy to transfer his care over to you! So far, I've not found a connection to our family line! Just let me know! Blessings, Dana

RE: Photo
You're welcome. I was visiting my mom in Taylorsville this week so I try to visit some cemeteries while there. I noticed that Millersville had very little documentation including photos and memorials. My dad's cousin attends that church, so I am familiar with it. I spent about an hour taking pictures and have added a number of memorials since returning home to SC. Macedonia is also a favorite of mine. My grandfather's sister is buried there as well as some other relatives. I try to do what I can when I go home for visits. I love it.

RE: Samuel Bass
You are most welcome. By the way, Samuel is buried next to his sister, Elizabeth Bass Swackhamer. It is likely that he was first buried in Black Creek cemetery, as the death certificate indicates, then later moved to Maplewood to be next to his sister.

Merry Christmas to you as well!

RE: Photos
Oh no, it was no trouble at all. I Looked up the plot location in the Interment Card File and went right to it.

Added photo's for Arthur and Beulah today. They were in the same Garden both on opposite ends. Pretty much from end to the other.

RE: Photos
I don't recall if there were nearby or not. Sometimes I get so engrossed looking through the view finder, I don't pay a lot of attention to my surroundings, but the next time they jump right at you.
Either way, if they are not nearby I will check the interment card and be most happy to take them .

RE: Obits
I think he wrote on each obit the name of the newspaper & the date. McCurtain County had 3 or 4 different newspapers years ago. On the page that had the letter to Santa, was the other Holman related to Elizabeth? I thought the Santa letters were so neat. I think anyone would really like to add that to their family history records. You probably could add that to her memorial. I'm still looking through old obits and will send the ones you want as I find them. Talk Later And you are welcome--Glad to help

RE: Obits
I'm sorry it's taking so long. I hope I don't have to go up there and hit that ole gal that was on the computer instead of up front waiting on the customers. I hope she did send it. Some people. It shouldn't take that long. Only in Oklahoma!! And they call us the "Sooner" state. Yeah, Right

RE: Obits
I thought you would have them by now. They went out Thursday, or should have. Oklahoma people can be odd. I hope that ole gal sent them. I stood there a few min., then spoke to her. She was on the computer, probably facebook. I did apologize for bothering her. Maybe they'll come tomorrow.

I have added a copy of his obit to the listing. I found it in a stack of newspaper clippings that I got from an aunt who helped clean out a house in Columbia, Tn.

RE: Obits
I'm okay with doing them. Send a list and I'll work on it. I don't think he got all of the older ones that you wanted. I can try the other library, I can leave a list with them. But they do charge for looking them up. All the ones I had are free and the BONUS is free. If you want me to try the other library, I will. Any obit before 1907 probably can't be found here. We didn't have newspapers til 1907.
I'm still finding some obits that you want in my papers and will send them after I get several. Talk Later

Jesse Riggs
Article I happen to have --
Jesse Riggs -one of the oldest settlers of the county, died at his home southwest of BERWICK January 12, 1891, the result of injuries received about a week before. While he was helping drive several colts into the barn at his place one of them struck him and knocked him down on the frozen ground. Three of his ribs were broken, and the lining of his lungs was pierced by one of the bones. He was eighty-three years old and did not possess the strength to recover. His burial was in the cemetery at BERWICK.

Just thought if you didn't have this you might be interested in it.

Lessie McMasters Kivett
I added a photo of the headstone at what I'm sure is Lessie McMasters Kivett's grave. There appears to be a grave beside that of Eli Larkin Kivett but there is no foot maker visible. It's probably sunken and covered with grass.
