Josephine Doyle Stout
This is my great grandmother. Her son Charles Leroy is my grandfather and his daughter Janice is my mother. I heard stories about Josephine but I don't remember her since she passed 2 years after my birth. After both of my grandparents passed I was given Josephine's letter stating how much she would receive each month from what is now social security. I have kept it in a Bible since 1991. I also have the receipt from her funeral being paid for. If I can help you with my grandparents, or their childrens info please let me know. I also lost a daughter. Do you have or know anyone with Josephine and or William Washington Stout's photo? You can contact me at breezesaga23@yahoo.com

Thank You,
Kathy

First time I've had access to internet in a long while, so just read your message. Thanks for the info on the source of her maiden name and for adding it to her memorial.

St James Refomed Cem
Hi again
Terry McManaway is trying to put graves that are in Holy Trinity Lutheran Ch Cem which should be in St James Reformed Ch Cem and vice versa.
He spoke at the Eastern Cabarrus Museum several weeks ago on cemeteries. These 2 cemeteries are
divided by a road & a drive way. He is taking pictures and posting them for which I am grateful for. He did Mt Pleasant Methodist Ch Cem several weeks ago. I hope that I copied the info Happy gave me, if so I will send you a copy

Camilla Foil
Hi,
I talked to Helen Richardson Nance Hughes " Happy " and she had some Foil History in her possession.
She dies in 2007. I do not know where her info went. She was the daughter of Anna Cleveland Foil " Annie " & Franklin Reid Richardson. I had went to her home just several months before she died.
She said it was Emilie I will check my records on Find-A-Grave and see if I put in Elizabeth instead of Emilie
The museum here in Mt Pleasant might have the Foil History. I am not able to check on this myself. down in my back. You might be able to call them and see if they would look it up for you
Have a good day
Cindy

K Perry
New Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery
I was wondering if you knew where I could write to get the written cemetery records for New Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. And I wanted to ask if you know if all the people that were on the written cemetery records of that church are listed on findagrave in this cemetery. Sarah Hines Ingram is in this cemetery but we have not found her husband Lawson Ingram.

I tried to write the person that took her findagrave picture - I got no answer. You cannot read the end of the dates on her stone.

Any suggestions about how i would find the written cemetery records for New Bethany Baptist church cemetery would really be appreciated, or the name and email / phone number of someone who would have access to those cemetery records would help us greatly

thank you

If you are hearing from folks that believe moving some of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery burials into the St. James Reformed please ask them to contact me so I can show how I know they need moving. Terry

RE: Spencer Pickler
Hi, Sharon
I apologize for posting the wrong headstone photos for Spencer Pickler. I deleted them, and if you can, do another photo request. If someone else doesn't get the photos first, I will look again and get the pic for you.

George Wiley Bowman
Sharon, is the marker shown the correct one for George Wiley? Not only is the name incorrect (as noted in the memorial), but the dates don't seem to match. George was my great uncle. Jim

Pris Santos
Infant Daughter Walton and Jack Walter
Hi Sharon:
I saw your photo requests for these two at Pine Hill Cemetery and after many months of looing, I came across the city cemetery's search website and don't find these two listed based on last name and death date. If you have other records indicating burial here, you may wish to contact the cemetery for a burial location. After looking, would it be appropriate for you to list the burial as unknown? Whatever you think is appropriate. Best regards.

Caldwell
You have a memorial for Elliott Caldwell with his parent's names in the bio. Do you know where his parents are buried? I may have found the obit for his mother. It's a short one & her name may be spelled wrong & the cemetery name is not there.

RE: Eva Vickery
Hi Sharon,

Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of Eva's grave, but we only live about 45 mins from the cemetery, so next time we're there I will take one and upload it.

Yes, Dad does remember Martha (she goes by the name Ann) quite well; she was still living at last check and Dad keeps in touch on an infrequent basis. Last time Dad talked to her was 4 or 5 years ago; she was living in the Columbia SC area at that time. Dad said she never got married or had any children that he knew of.

I am not a blood relative of the Vickerys (that I know of) but our family is related to them by marriage dozens of different ways. I would be happy to share the info Dad and I have on the Vickery family if you think it might be helpful. Let me know and I'll provide you with contact info, etc.

Mike

RE: Obits
I think he wrote on each obit the name of the newspaper & the date. McCurtain County had 3 or 4 different newspapers years ago. On the page that had the letter to Santa, was the other Holman related to Elizabeth? I thought the Santa letters were so neat. I think anyone would really like to add that to their family history records. You probably could add that to her memorial. I'm still looking through old obits and will send the ones you want as I find them. Talk Later And you are welcome--Glad to help

I have added a copy of his obit to the listing. I found it in a stack of newspaper clippings that I got from an aunt who helped clean out a house in Columbia, Tn.

Jesse Riggs
Article I happen to have --
Jesse Riggs -one of the oldest settlers of the county, died at his home southwest of BERWICK January 12, 1891, the result of injuries received about a week before. While he was helping drive several colts into the barn at his place one of them struck him and knocked him down on the frozen ground. Three of his ribs were broken, and the lining of his lungs was pierced by one of the bones. He was eighty-three years old and did not possess the strength to recover. His burial was in the cemetery at BERWICK.

Just thought if you didn't have this you might be interested in it.

Lessie McMasters Kivett
I added a photo of the headstone at what I'm sure is Lessie McMasters Kivett's grave. There appears to be a grave beside that of Eli Larkin Kivett but there is no foot maker visible. It's probably sunken and covered with grass.

Mae Terry headstone photo and location
Thank you, Sharon! My name is Sharon as well, and I am Mae Terry's grand daughter. I have been trying to find out where she ended up as her obit. said she was buried in Clyde Park, but I cannot find her there. I was unable to attend her funeral as I was out of state for my job the year she passed. Now that i know I will have to go look for her when I next get to Livingston.
