Carol and Stewart Dunbar
I am Peggy C. Reynolds, daughter of Carol. Stewart was my stepdad for @ 13 years. Thank you for the photos. I am now, just starting to volunteer to photograph a few in Laurelwood and some in Forest Hills. This is a great service. I have found so many of my ancestors' through this site, in Hartwell, Ga, and Anderson, SC.

Betty Barker 53318544
Betty Barker (number 53318544) had two sons. One is in the database--Dale Barker (number 66550603). The other son is Richard S. Barker (not in the database)... here is his Obituary:

STATESVILLE, N.C. - Mr. Richard Steven "Rick" Barker of 206 Apple Valley Lane, Statesville, N.C. went home to be with his Lord April 8, 2011.
Services for Mr. Barker will be 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 26 , 2011, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, with the Rev. James R. Cole Jr. officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Rick grew up in Rock Hill, S.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty C. Barker and T. R. Barker and his brother, Dale R. Barker.
Surviving are his wife, Shannon S. Barker of Statesville; his sons, Dustin Barker and Jonathan, both of Statesville; his daughter, Brannigan Barker of Statesville; his sister, Lyn Barker of Rock Hill; his nephews, Tristan D. Barker of Sanford, N.C. and Matthew A. Barker of Gaston, S.C.; with many cousins and friends from South and North Carolina.
Rick achieved many accomplishments in life. He received his Associate's Degree in Heating and Air, while working full-time at the former Harris Teeter in Commons Plaza in Rock Hill and attending York Technical College, graduating in the Class of 1989. After years of heating and air, he left for the passion of the trucking industry, which in the last 11 years, gave him the open road, from Safe Way Transport out of Charlotte, N.C., to Jack B. Wooten Commercial Trucking out of Statesville, to Pope Petroleum of Charlotte and last of all Bynum Transport out of Auburnadale, Miss.
Rick's greatest passions were spending time with his wife and kids, having cook outs, playing golf, watching the Carolina Panthers and performing music with his children.
He was the deacon of Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville, N.C. For all the lives he's touched, for the fun laughs and joy, he will be forever missed.

Can we add Richard to the database, and attach Richard and Dale to their mother Betty, and then update theirs to show their mother and brother?

Also, Their sister Debra Lynn Barker passed away on 1/19/2016 is West Columbia, SC. There will probably be no obituary, and she will be cremated according to the Coroners office.

RE: Mattie P. Deese 53853208
Thank you for your response. Here is a copy of my email/attempt to Marg 47221921 to correct info at Mattie P. Deese:
TO: pricemeppy@aol.com
SUBJECT: 1) Robert Deese memorial 67394797 &
2) George Washington Deese memorial 67517131

Hello, Thank you for your work on findagrave.

1) The subject memorial is 'linked' to Mattie P. Deese memorial #53853208, but she was not married to Robert Deese, as he died before she was born.

2) Also, Mattie was not the mother of the children listed with George Washington Deese on the subject memorial. I tried to contact 'honeybun' who is listed at this memorial, but could not as it appears honeybun has their messages disabled.

If possible, would you please correct these two items? Thank you in advance for your help.

Have a good day…it's raining and cold here in Georgia, but it's a great day to work on genealogy. Yeah!!

Cora Allie Gainey Shaw 91619708
I tried to message the photo contributor but his messaging is disabled. I am wondering if you know if Cora Allie is the correct first and middle name of this lady? I have recently learned that I am related to her and am in contact with one other family member who is related to her as well but she doesn't know for sure about Cora's name. I question it because in the 1900 census she is listed as Allenia, in the 1920 census she is listed as Annie, in the 1930 census she is listed as Cora A. and in the 1940 census she is listed as Allie. If you don't know but know someone who may know, please forward my message to them.

Thank you.

I have a couple of questions. First, the link to his wife. Do you have a source that points that the linked record is his wife. Second, do you have a record that shows he is buried a this cemetery. I have looked at the Rock hill library and have not been able to find a record.

Find A Grave Memorial# 63042030

This person is my maternal great-grandfather. He died when my grandfather was about ten years old. My great-grandmother and all of his children moved to Virginia when my grandfather was young. Are you related to this person or did you just create the memorial as a service?

You can send a message here or to my e-mail.

Thanks!

Were you able to see 1888 on the stone at the time of the photograph. The last line of "age....." is illegible to me.
