RE: Juliana Lawton Kendrick
Dear Denise,

Very good idea. Don't know why I didn't think of that. I have ordered a copy. We shall see if NYC has the death certificate.

Again, thanks!

Sincerely,
Lisa

RE: Juliana Lawton Kendrick
Dear Denise,

Yes, it sure is a mystery. I suppose it is possible that Julian Lawton Kendrick was cremated in NYC and that for some reason her husband keep the ashes in a container for two years and then had them buried at Laurel?

Again, thank you.

Sincerely,
Lisa Bartlett

Juliana Lawton Kendrick
Dear Denise,

Thank you so much for taking the photos of the Kendrick graves at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. The most "enlightening" information was the information at the bottom of the photograph.

Juliana (Julia) Adelaide Lawton Kendrick was 60 when she died. She died near Weehawken, New Jersey but actually died in N.Y.C. She was visiting her daughter and newest grandchild, took sick and died. Her husband, John Ryland Kendrick came immediately and it now appears, from the information you provided, took her remains back to Philadelphia to be buried at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. Olivia Virginia Kendrick was John Ryland Kendrick's second wife. Juliette Kendrick Dudley and Frederick Allen Dudley, Jr. were the daughter and son-in-law of John Ryland Kendrick.

I believe what is written at the bottom of the photo indicated that she was buried on 13 February 1915. Juliana (Julia) Lawton Kendrick died on February 11, 1912. So, if she was buried in 1915, her remains must have been temporarily buried in NYC or otherwise "preserve" until 1915.

Again, thank you!

Sincerely,
Lisa Bartlett

RE: Fetters family
Joseph Fetters 26 Sep 1811--8 Jun 1888. The death date I have for Maria is different, too. Maria Herkins Fetters 16 Dec 1819--12 May 1884. So I may be just grasping at straws. :)

RE: Fetters family
Denise, thanks. I figured as much, with Maria's stone. When you go back, could you let me know if Maria's buried next to Joseph (d. 1888), and check Joseph's date? I can't read it from the photo, and the date I have is different from the date posted on the memorial. Thanks again for all you do.

John and Katherine Fick Memorial Photos
Denise, thank you so much for taking these photos. Based on the cemetery information which you included, I think these are a different John and Katherine Fick than our relatives. Our John was John Paul Fick and his daughter was Kathryn (never married). Seeing the cemetery information was very helpful. Thank you again! S.R.F.

Roberta Williams
Hi Denise: I have a question of the grave you sent. I have her name as Roberta Virginia Williams married a Peter Kinney Deyo.

Also the names Hamilton don't connect anywhere that I can see. Do you have any light you can shed on this??

Thank you
Jeff

Thanks very much for the photo. Were there any individual headstones in that location. You say on the photo that there was a single stone for Charles And Emma. My Great Grandfather (Charles K Peifer Sr 1811-1885) was married to an Emma H Eastlake (1832-1899). My Grandfather (Charles K Peifer Jr 1835-1918) was married to an Emma Boyer b. abt 1840. I don't know which is buried in this cemetery! My Grandfather came to Illinois after Emma's death.

Thank you for your research at the West Laurel Cemetery on the Nicholson family. You identified for us more children than my cousin and I were previously were aware. What a great surprise! Again, we appreciate your assistance.
