RE: Sam Moore
Florence A Piercy was Florence A Moore. SHe was my great grandmother. Her Dad was Samual(Sam) Moore. Florence is buried next to her husband David N Piercy in Calhoun Cemetery, North of Missouri Valley, Iowa. That is where several of my grandparents and aunts and uncles are buried.

RE: Sam Moore
Magnolia, Iowa. He was Sheriff of Harrison County, Iowa from 1862-64. Then a county judge.

Samuel Moore was my great great grandpa. Florence A Moore was my great grandma Piercy. She married David Piercy. My grandpa, Bill Lockling (B:1898) lived in Magnolia for a while also. My dad, Bill Lockling (b:1925) was born in Magnolia.

Do you know anything else about him? Any photos of Florence or Sam Moore's family would be great but any info would be great also! Thanks.

Robert Rosencrantz at Forest Cemetery
Good day to you. You have a note on the photo request to check if his parents are buried by him. There are only 2 Rosencrantz listed in the database of grave locations for Forest; Robert and Ruth. Just wanted to let you know so you can look elsewhere for their burials. Happy Hunting!

RE: Slattery
St. Mary's Catholic Cemetary is across the road from Primrose's Dublin Cemetary. The Genealogy Society did a survey of Boone County Cemetaries in 1993; there is no mention of any Slattery buried in Boone County. Of course, records were not kept very well in years past.
